Position Overview

This position is responsible for supporting and executing a global environmental sustainability strategy across the organization in coordination with the Corporate EHS and Operations Functions. This position will work across all levels within the organization as it delivers against the annual Diebold Nixdorf sustainability goals. The Corporate Sustainability Project Coordinator will provide strategic thinking regarding usage and cost reduction and avoidance initiatives such as energy, fuel, waste, water, indirect services and supplies, and international carbon taxes. The Project Coordinator will work with, and report to, the Manager, Environmental Sustainability, to ensure that planning, programming, and justification, including the evaluation and development of Diebold Nixdorf facilities, align with business objectives including energy management and environmental sustainability programs.

You are responsible for

  • Supporting a company-wide impact by implementing the global sustainability strategy with Diebold Nixdorf sustainability goals and objectives.
  • Assist with developing and implementing policies, practices, and associated standard work. Work with leaders to establish an approach to sustainability.
  • Supporting implementation of program initiatives to meet or exceed Diebold Nixdorf’s sustainability goals and be a subject matter specialist regarding building, energy management, and environmental sustainability systems.
  • Assist with global energy management data collection and execute analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Assist with implementing the global office recycling program.
  • Identification, prioritization, and justification of facility capital projects & facility systems upgrades and ensure that energy efficiencies are collected.
  • Prepare environmental permit applications and negotiate conditions. Ensure compliance with applicable Federal, State, and local E&S laws and regulations, standards, codes and guidelines and provide guidance to applicable stakeholders 


  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering or another technical field is required.
  • Computer proficiency in software applications required for analyzing, monitoring, reporting and presentations.
  • Ability to understand and analyze international regulations, laws and guidelines.
  • Biased toward action with excellent time leadership skills with an ability to understand key achievements, goals, and objectives while leading groups of internal and external resources to meet project goals.
  • Ability to adjust and adapt to changing conditions.
  • Ability to interact across functions and all levels and departments.
